We are off to see The Wizard!

OZ Museum Group

This month, The residents at The Fountains at Greenbriar took a day trip to Wamego, KS to visit the Oz Museum. There, they enjoyed learning about L. Frank Baum, the author of the books, the history of the classic movie starring Judy Garland and its many influences on popular culture. The group enjoyed reminiscing about their favorite personal Oz memories. Dorothy Frederick said, “I recall watching this when I was a little girl. I never liked the wicked witch scenes, but it was all alright when Dorothy melted her!” Marsha Leizer added, “I always loved this movie when I was a little girl.
When I saw the color for the first time in a movie I was amazed!” As a result of this adventure to Kansas, our gang got a little air time on Fox 41 Action News. Yeah gang! You can check out the morning broadcast of the group from Thursday, August 25th by clicking here or by following the web address below.
