Residents really enjoyed their trip to the Kansas City Garment District Museum. It was a great opportunity for the ladies to reminisce about all of the older clothing styles that they used to wear, and a few of them left asking them selves, “why did I wear that again?” A couple of the residents said, “I sure don’t miss the hose with the seams, it was always a pain keeping them straight!” This trip is a must see for any fan of retro fashion and definitely for any fashion aficionado from Kansas City. Many local Garment Factories were well represented from the Kansas City area such as Nelly Don’s and Hal Harden’s. Following the residents trip to the museum, they got to tickle their taste buds with a lovely lunch a the Majestic Steakhouse on Broadway. It was another great day out in the city!
