LEGO recreates nature from man-made blocks!

On Saturday, September 5th, the Greenbriar gang made a trip to Powell Botanical Gardens to see the LEGO sculpture exhibit. We were amazed at how wonderful the LEGO sculptures were integrated into the natural scenes and created a harmonious symmetry of man-made and nature. We saw such things as a Humming Bird feeding from a honeysuckle, a Bald Eagle perched on a rock, a Mallard Duck and ducklings, and so much more. This was a great way to spend the afternoon surrounded by the beauty of nature and meditating on the juxtaposition of human impact on the natural world. It is an exhibit that appeals to the naturalist, botanist, and LEGO fan all the same! If you haven’t seen this exhibit yet, do before it is gone!
