Looking Back: Seussical Safe House!

Every year, The Fountains at Greenbriar has a story book character theme candy safe house for the resident’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our past themes have ranged from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory to The Giving Tree in which we celebrated and the beloved works of children’s authors Roald Dahl and Shel Silverstein. This year we were happy to host a storybook character night celebrating the zany and brainy character creations from the mind of Dr.Theodore Geisel (a.k.a.-Dr. Seuss). The children and grandparents had a wonderful time bonding with crafts, treats, and movie time with the live-animation adaptation of The Cat In The Hat starring Mike Meyers. This wonderful opportunity to share the gift of imagination and literacy with the children was a wonderful way to experience great opportunities for bonding, story telling, and family fun. Every child in attendance got to leave with their own party back of Dr. Seuss candy and toys as well as their own personal hardback copy of their favorite Dr. Seuss book.
