A while back, a group of us went on a day outing to George Owens Nature Center to enjoy a picnic and go fishing! The residents enjoyed a serene summer serenade of crickets, birds, and frogs who accompanied us with a melodic tune to a delicious picnic in the woods. After our lunch was finished we set out to catch something for dinner and we did better than any of us had hoped for…all in all our summer day ended with a total of 16 fish…9 Crappie and 7 Blue Gill, which was a nice fishing haul for the day! After our day outing we topped off our trip with a stop in for frozen custard which just hit the spot on a warm summer day. We are looking forward to our next outdoor adventure!
