The Greenbriar gang ventured out to the Prairiefire Museum in Overland Park, which is our local extension of the American Museum of Natural History (New York). The museum opened in 2014 and is created using Dichroic glass created by NASA. As interesting as the architecture of the building is, what really piqued the interest of the residents was what was inside! The exhibits on natural history were particularly interesting to many of the residents. They especially loved how the exhibits were interactive and had life-like dioramas to create the environment for the creature being discussed. The most favorite portion of the museum was the geology and paleontology. Overall our experience at the museum was very informative and educational. We look forward to going back and seeing what great exhibits they will be coming up with soon!
