Town Center resident, Gisela Voyez, has been selected from hundreds of artists around the U.S. to be featured in Expressions 2018, a full-color wall calendar celebrating active aging and the arts. The inspiring calendar, now in its 18th edition, showcases paintings, sculptures, quilts, ceramics and other creations submitted by artists, both amateur and professional, who reside at more than 50 Watermark Retirement Communities nationwide. “Art is an ageless form of self expression and we’re thrilled to be able to share the beautiful artwork of 36 of our talented residents in this year’s calendar,” said David Barnes, President and CEO of Watermark Retirement Communities. “Personally, I find their life stories every bit as inspiring as their art.” Born in Germany in 1927, Voyez survived World War II under Nazi occupation. Since 2014 she has resided at The Fountains at Greenbriar, a Watermark community where she enjoys abundant opportunities to connect with other artists and explore a variety of creative, social, educational and cultural pursuits. Congratulations Gisela on the outstanding accomplishment!
